Remote Program Opportunities

Softball NT can tailor a program to your community’s needs. Softball NT can train umpires, coaches and scorers whilst developing on field skills of players. We have a range of options on how we can deliver these programs and can often tailor unique solutions to overcome delivery barriers.

Where we can, we also send staff to run programs, competitions and tournaments in some of our remote carnivals and festivals. A successful example of this is the Barunga Festival which is held once a year in June. There are a number of events and activities put together by the community of Barunga itself as well as outside communities and organizations over a weekend and softball is one of them.

In 2019 staff from Softball NT traveled to Barunga and facilitated a small competition where 6 teams participated in a ‘round robin’ type of competition. This is a great way to continue to build softball in our remote areas as well as encouraging other regions and communities to compete against each other and even get their own local competitions up and running.
